One of my favorite memories of AHG 2016 was the spring Camporee. As a Pioneer, I was given the opportunity to help teach a class. One of the responsibilities I was assigned was to create a poster depicting the origin of the lyrics for the well-known song Amazing Grace. I used charcoal to create it, because charcoal is a much more forgiving medium than graphite, which is my favorite.
Here is an image of the poster I created:
The project took well over a week and it was really fun. Even having a deadline was good, because I sometimes take on a lot of art projects at one time, and deadlines help me get my priorities straight.
Thanks for reading!
